Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 July 2026

In short

GPS Camera is about photos and links. When you save a shot, the photo is uploaded so we can give you a link. That link is public by default — anyone who has it can open the photo — unless you set it to expire on a timer or open only once.

There's no account and no sign-up. We keep some technical details of each request to run the service and prevent abuse. We don't sell your data.

Your photos

The photo you save is uploaded to our host so that it can be served at a link. Until the link expires or is viewed (for a one-time link), the photo sits at a public URL — anyone who has that URL can open it. It is not end-to-end encrypted, and it isn't a private vault. Treat the link itself as the secret: share it only with the people you mean to.

Whatever you choose to stamp onto the photo — GPS coordinates, the date, a pin, a note — becomes part of the image and is visible to anyone who opens the link. All of these are off by default; nothing about your location is added unless you turn it on.

Your links

You control how long a link lives:

“Removed” means the file is deleted from our host and the link no longer resolves. We can't control copies someone already downloaded, screenshots, or content that other systems (such as chat apps) may have cached from a link you shared.

Technical data we keep

To run the service and prevent abuse, we keep some technical details of each request — the kind of information a web server ordinarily sees, such as network and device information and, when you stamp coordinates onto a photo, those coordinates. This is used for operation, troubleshooting and abuse prevention, not for advertising or profiling, and we don't sell it.

We don't ask for your name, email or an account, and we don't use analytics or advertising cookies.

How long we keep things

Photos are kept until their link expires, is viewed once (for one-time links), or ages out of storage. Your last 50 shots also stay on your own phone, in the app, and you can delete those anytime. Technical request details are kept only as long as they're useful for operating and securing the service.

Children

GPS Camera isn't directed at children and isn't intended for anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use GPS Camera after a change means you accept the updated policy.
